CAPGEMINI PAPER ON 4th JUNE AT BHUBANESWAR

Hie Friends, this is Samrat here..I am sharing my experiences abt the CAPGEMINI recruitment held at KIIT,Bhubaneswar on 4th......

As u guys would b knowing this is year the test pattern of CAPGEMINI is Aptitude(25) and Reasoning(25)..Then followed by GD, Technical (mainly HR based and puzzles) and HR..

The apti part was very easy. actually questions are being repeated. The same question that came in BIT ,Kolkata came here ..So I would suggest all the aspirants to solve the papers given in freshersworld properly....In our college 300 students sat for the paper.Out of it 120 cleared written. Then came the GD part..

Topics like -East or West which is the land of opportunities and Gandhigiri or Dadagiri were given. In our college we had 50 B.Tech and 70 MCA 's qulaified for written...There were 5 B.Tech GD group and 7 MCA groups each consisting of 10 .So out of it 51 cleared GD..My topic was Lagey Raho Munnabhai and its impact in modern days..I cleared GD..

Then came the Technical or Management round..In this round either you would be asked some HR queestions like Tell Me about Yourself or some cases would be given to you and you have to get the best possible answers..They gave me a puzzle from Shakuntala Devi and told me to complete it in 30 secs.I confidently did it in 20 secs. And they would also be askin you abt ur Hobbies and details on them..Then I was told to wait outside for HR round..

Friends remember in Capgemini every person has to undergo thru TECH and HR..They evaluate you on your total performance starting from written marks,GD,Tech qualities and HR... Then in my HR round i had to face the HR Head of Kolkata--VANDANA mam.She asked me on why I joioned Capgemini inspite of there being so many big companies like TCS,CTS,etc.
Then asked abt my projects in details..Then asked me on my hobbies,Extracurricular activities..A situation was given to me how I should overcome it with the best possible outcomes. like that..and then asked questions like Why i joined KIIT,Bbsr apart from having joined in an Engineering college in Kolkata(I am from KOL so shes asked this)..Like this..i was so confident withe the answers that my HR was pleased..It was a 20 mins Interview..Then she finally asked me if I have any questions for her.I asked her soe like what a company expects from the freshers and wat subject a fresher should be acquainted with properly b4 joining a company and like dat..Then she told me it was over and I had to wait outside for results. Finally when results came out at 12 am ..i was lucky to find my name in the 5th call...What they said was they marked a person totally starting from Written GD,Tech ,HR..mine was the 5th rank out of the 300 ..Hey guys I was so lucky..After having failed to even clear the written in WIPRO,MINDTREE,L&T INFOTECH I was really very depressed and now i ve cleared CAPGEMINI --a MNC wow!!

Guys i really bleive to get recruited u really need 70 percent luck....Anyways I hope my suggestion would help all the aspirants....They offered package of 2.75 but it woudl be revised to 3.3 lacs/annum...
Best of luck to all the aspirants!!! And see u guys in CAPGEMINI!!!!

CAPGEMINI PAPER ON 19th JULY AT MUMBAI

hi freinds . my name is keyur . i recently appeared for capgemini,it is a very good company .they are giving a package of 2.73lac.on 19th we had the apptitude test .then on 20th we had a GD round. after that there technical cum HR round.

apptitude test was of 1hr online test and it consists of 25 questions in analytical section and 25 questions in logical section. analytical section was tough and is very time consuming. u can refer R.S.Agrawal quantitive for this section. do that book very seriously try to give more stress on speed, distance, time, ages, simplification, permutation and combination chapters. but note that u dond waste much time in this section dont give more then 35 min to this section.

next section was logical.it also had 25 questions. this section is quite easy and u can score good points in this section. u can refer( R.S.Agrawal logical reasoning ) for this section. do the puzzel test and data sufficiency chapters very perfectly bcoz most of the questions were from this 2 chapters. i think doing only this 2 chapters is enough.
i was not able to clear the apti and the cut off was not disclosed .may be it was around 30 right questions.

next round was GD round many of my friends cleared it and went for tech cum HR round.

hope so this information will help u all.
Best of luck ..........

consuming.Mainly the questions were from-time and dist, profit and loss, speed and distance, and the logical part was of general common sense we can practice it from R.S.Agarwal.As i told u that the papers were easy but time consuming hence Time management was the key part for solving the paper.and allso look for the previous year questions.

They declared a cut off of 10 marks from each sec,so it was 20 in total.
About 400 students appeared for the apptitute, out of which 129 cleared the apptitute test including me.

The next round was GD.A group of 10 studnts were made.It was a wonderful experience to all of us.we got the topic "should youth enter into the politics".
It was a good topic to discuss and it happened the same.we had a good discussion of the topic and almost each of the member contributed more or less at their best. And out of 9 students from our group,5 including me were selected.

In total they selected 63 candidate for final round i,e the personal interview. The PI included both tecnical as well as HR.In tech they asked que from the branch u belonged and some basic knowlege of c language.
After a long time I was called for the PI.It was almost 9 of the evening, i entered the cabin.I know what's the amount of pressure a candidate have on him, whenever he appears for an interview,& how was the feelings of being rejected one after another times.
It was nice to giving an interview in a friendly atmosphere they created.

I was asked to tell about myself, the respected madam who was taking my interview asked me from the points I mentioned to tell about myself. They asked me about the apptitute test and which part i felt easy?.I replied that both part were good but i cud attempt more que from quanti.Next i was asked to tell my weakness and stengths.Next i was asked that although u r from mech engg. then why do want to join it sector,i replied that due to my less marks in entrance test i cudn't get diff branch thogh i had a lot of interest in computers from the very beginning...
Next i was asked if i had any query..i replied that if i m selected wat more courses shud i had to study before joining the company?
Next they asked me about my place of preferences?...i peplied that place dosen't matter for me,the quality which i provide to the company that matters much for me..

I want to share something with you, it was the 8th interview, I was appeared for. Previously I've rejected 7 times, but still I didn't give up. I want to say you people must have confidence upon yourself, that's the thing with which you can win, never become hopeless. So please try to be confident, always try to answer promptly, don't go for any false representation, as it reflects on your expression,& have faith on yourself---that's the key to crack.

Don't get me wrong, you may have feel that I'm giving too many advises that are useless, but I'm telling you, whatever I've said here, all are my own experiences. I personally believe that "failure is tha pillar of success",& YES, I'VE PROVED IT BY MYSELF, I'VE CRACKED CAPGEMINI,the renowned IT company in the industry.
The final result listed 41 candidates who are finally selected,& I feel very proud to be 1 of those 41.
Nothing to say more, BEST OF LUCK--to all of u.and please never forgive because"NO DEFEAT IS FINAL......UNTILL U STOP TRYING".
I'll be obliged enough if my experience would help someone to get a job.see u at CAPGEMINI.....

WISHING U ALL

CAPGEMINI PAPER ON 23RD JULY,2008

hi, this is Tej from GITAM. I got into Capgemini on 23 July 2008.
To get into Capgemini you need to first write a written test which consists of two sections
quant 25 questions and reasoning 25 questions.
there is no upper cut off and for qualifying to the next round you need to get minimum of 10marks in each section.
1m for correct answer and -1/4 for wrong answer.

Next we had a gd round where the topics can be choosed by the students or yet times given the hr.
the topics are quite simple like and elimination in gd was not that serious actually coz people who were not able to
speak were given a chance by the hr himself and made to talk henceforth many of them got through gd.
cell phones should be banned in college.
congress vs bjp.
infaltion and hike in petrol prices.
and many more all general topics.

then hr round + tr round.
we never actually know whether we are gonna have a hr round or a tr round so be prepared for both coz ppl from both
the sections are gonna come.
my hr was mainly tr and stress hr round. i answered most of the questions with ease and patience but i thought i was
not doing that well coz at that point i never knew i was under stress interview.
i was asked many questions on different things and about friends.
i was continuously encountered with satires and various kinds of negative expressions.
this was just to test my patience and my reactions when under stress.
simply be calm, have a smile in your face. if you don't know something just tell him that you don't know it,
that'l help you a lot.
try to be as calm and cool as possible never loose hope when your interview is going on.
smile that is the only thing you can do when your under lots of stress.

finally i was able to get into capgemini.

over 600 people attempted written test and 150 got through written.
113 got through gd
and finally 70 got job.
I was one among.

CAPGEMINI PAPER ON 15TH AUGUST AT ANNA UNIVERSITY,COIMBATORE

Hai friends, first of all i thank all the members of this forum for posting such useful messages, which helped me a lot and following is my interview pattern which held in anna university, coimbatore on 15th august
basically there were three rounds
1.written
2.gd
3.tech+hr

Written
* 2 sections were there (25 apps + 25 verbal)
* its very easy one, but the problem is negative marking(-0.25).
* Go through all the previous papers
* don't attend everything, there is maximum cut off i think so
* its better to get between 25-30
* its an elimination round. nearly 1600 ppls only 150 are short listed.

GD
* its not a problem, if u have basic communcation skill.
* my gd topic was.. why is america dominating the world, and my frnd's topics were Is senior players required in indian cricket team, IT vs non-IT.(be updated with current events).
* its not an elimination round, out of 150 nearly 110 were selected.

TECH+HR
* be frank, don try to confuse, be clear with basic concepts of IT and some simple programs (swap, palindrome, string reverse.....).
* for me it lasts for 30 minutes. HR was very friendly.
* if u donno the answer say him frankly, be bold and confident.
* u can expect basic qns like temme about yourslf, y capgemini, strength and weakness.
* i was asked to answer this qn "u are a team leader, your project deadline is today and u r not able to finish it, at this situation what will u do ?"
* dress neatly, shave your beard, be professional.
* basic communication skill is the main aspect here.
* out of 110->80 were selected finally.

p.s: since they need 10,000+ professionals by 2010,if u clear the written and u hv a basic tech & comm skil, there is no doubt that u r an employee of CG.

CAPGEMINI PAPER ON 7TH JUNE AT SRI VENKETESWARA COLLEGE

Hi frnds..Im rupa from sri venkateswara college of engg...Im here to share my experience wit u.. CAPGEMINI visited our campus on 7th of june 2008.There were totally three rounds..
1.APTITUDE TEST
2.GROUP DISCUSSION
3.HR cum TECH ROUND.

APTITUDE ROUND:
Aptitude s easy only.Just go through al the previous yr Capgemini papers once..questions may repeat again..and just go through R.S. AGGARWAL for quans...Totally 50 questions in 1 hour.. But there s negative marking so please b careful when u answer the questions.. Dont mark the answers if u r not sure..Think twice before u mark.. NOTE: u've to use only pens so b careful.. (shade it properly otherwise it'll be untidy). And negative marking s .25 mark... JUST BE CONFIDENT.. u can easily crack this round..Totally 400 students appeared for aptitude but only 116 students got through aptitude round.. next s GD..

GROUP DISCUSSION:
After aptitude v al asked to split into groups.. And gd topics r given on the spot by HR's.. just chill.. Be CONFIDENT and Communicate well in GD.. At the same time u SHOULD NOT DOMINATE OTHERS.. Just come out wit your ideas…JUST BE CONFIDENT….From 116 students only 66 students were selected for next round..

HR cum TECH ROUND:
This round depends on the HR who comes in yo ur panel… Some HR’S will ask tech questions also from your area of interest.. So b confident about the sub that u mentioned as your area of interest in your resume.. But I am very lucky.. The HR who came for our panel was so sweet.. only HR questions he asked us.
1)Tell about yourself
2)Hobbies
3)Role model
4)Abt your educational background..
5)Short term and long term goals…

This round will be simple only.. don't worry.. just chill.. BE CONFIDENT.. Don’t loose your patience….DO UR BEST GOD WILL DO THE REST..
Finally out of 66 students they selected 47 from our college…I was the one among those 47 students….I am very glad to be a part of this excellent company… .Capgemini visited our campus for the first time so it was excellent they recruited 47 students from our college…We r very proud to be an product of SVCE….and going to be a part of Capgemini.. I WISH ALL THE SUCCESS TO U ALL GALS AND GUYS..

My only advice s be confident, have patience.. and hope for the best…ALL THE VERY BEST… DO WEL.. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

Yours friendly
Rupa

All the selected candidates were divided into 13 groups of 10 students each.
The GD was being conducted simultaneously in 2 rooms. Our group got the topic "LIVE-IN RELATIONSHIP" Clearing the GD round is easy. The coordinators were really very friendly and made all the candidates relaxed. In GD, you will have to show your participation. Do open up your mouth, but at the same time, see to it that you are not disrupting others and make out a valid point atleast try to be around the point and just not beat around the bushes n blabber anything. Dont loose confidence even if you are not a very good speaker. Just give strong points, this is what matters the most. After about 1hr the list of candidates who had cleared the GD was displayed and they were asked to report in a room for further proceedings. 60 candidates cleared the GD round.

CAPGEMINI PAPER ON 24th APRIL AT KOLKATA

Hi friends!!!!
I'm Aniruddha Ghosh,a 3rd year engineering student of Bengal Institute of Technology,Kolkata. I'm here to share my xperience of the capussing procedure conducted by CAPGEMINI on 24th April,2007.

We had to face 4 rounds-
a) Aptitude Test
b) Group Discussion
c) Technical Interview
d) HR interview

There was 50 questions in the aptitude test,25 questions on quantitative & other 25 questions were logical analysis. There was no such questions either on verbal or technical ability. The questions were standard, not very easy, but not at all tough, a little bit time-taking.
Mainly the quanti questions were on basic--profit & loss, interest, fractions, speed...etc.The logical questions were on common sense, very ordinary logical questions followed by any book like R.S.Agarwal.
The time management is the main key to solve the paper as per my point of view.

Total 116 candidates appeared for aptitude test, only 45 cleared the aptitude test including me.

The next round was GD. It was a wonderful experience to all of us. We have given "Lage raho Munnabhai---what's the social impact of that well admired movie". It was a very good topic to discuss, nearly all of us contribute more or less as their level best. I initiated the GD,& my friends also spoke well.9 people out of 11,were selected from our group.

In total they selected 36 candidates for technical interview. The moderator of our group was very friendly & he gave us enough time to discuss. Before starting the GD he said that--"nothing to worrie about, it's just a formal discussion", which was a big relief to all of us.

In technical Interview they asked very basic questions from our semester subjects. Specially C, DS, DBMS, Networking, OS, OOP & Microprocessor. CS & IT people please make urself comfortable with your departmental subjects, if possible Please go through Microprocessor also. They ask from here also. As I'm a student of IT department, I'm giving u the brief of my interview, but I've heard from my friends of ECE department, they were asked from their departmental subjects also.

I was asked to tell the respected interviewer the names of my past 2 semester's subjects. He listened those carefully,& asked questions from those subjects, I've mentioned earlier. Some questions was like---basic features of OOP-discuss, normalization, OS handling, basic questions on OS, OSI layer-little discussion, link lists, sorting,& last but not the least I was asked to write the algo of Quicksort,& some other questions also their, that I can't remember now. But over all there was no such contradictory questions, they never counter with your answer.

There were only 18 candidates including me cleared the technical round.

After some time I was called for HR interview. It was nice to giving an interview in a friendly atmosphere they created. I was asked to tell about myself, the respected madam who was taking my interview asked me from the points I mentioned to tell about myself. She asked me ---"what do u mean by optimism?","how can you prove that you are optimistic?","what do u know about software industry?", strengths, weaknesses. Finally asked me to question her about my confusions if any.

I want to share something with you, it was the 6th interview, I was appeared for. Previously I've rejected 5 times, but still I didn't give up. I want to say you people must have confidence upon yourself, that's the thing with which you can win, never become hopeless.
I know what's the amount of pressure a candidate have on him, whenever he appears for an interview,& how was the feelings of being rejected one after another times.

The final result listed only 9 candidates who are finally selected,& I feel very proud to be 1 of those 9.
Nothing to say more, BEST OF LUCK--to all of u. & VERY SORRY, if I made someone feel "boring", "time waste", "useless speech"....etc
If possible please forgive me. I'll be obliged enough if my experience would help someone to get a job.

Wishing you all
Aniruddha

The same day CapGemini had been to CVRCE whare they had written test in the form of pen and paper. Well we were given a regn. no and that regn no was our id and password to login. they had a fake test for 5 min to make the students acquainted with their question pattern. after that the test began. Believe me friends maximum of the questions were repeated frm the last questions papers which are quoted on this web site.not even a single data had changed. maximum of the questions were from the previous papers. Aptitude part was easy and RS Aggrawal is more than sufficient. reasoning part demanded the maximum time and one should be tricky in attending those coz this part asks for most of the time. total were 50 questions which were to be attended in 60 min. Time counter was running on computer, so a single more second could not be availed. as soon as 1 hour will be reached then immediately the page will be refreshed and the current profile will be logged out. So please be time efficient.

CAPGEMINI PAPER ON 28th AUGUST AT HYDERABD

Hi friends... this is somewhat related to the candidates who need guidence on MAINFRAMES. mainframes paper is different from others... Actually there will be three rounds for you

1) WRITTEN TEST
a) Technical
b) Logical reasoning

In technical again there will be 5 sections on jcl,cobol,cics,db2,vsam. Each section carries 15 marks and you have to get atleast 9 marks in each section and there is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
In logical reasoning there will be 50 questions.I dont know whether these section carries negative marking or not!!!

2)GROUP DISCUSSION
In GD they give quite general topics like "WHY INDIA IS LAGGING IN OLYMPICS", "IS IT NECCESARY TO GO TO FOREIGN FOR EDUCATION".

3)INTERVIEW
In interview they covered almost all topics. For me they asked so many questions on DB2SQL and about my project. Some questions on physics also.

Concentrate more on COBOL. why bcoz in our paper cobol is some what tougher when compared to others.Gothrough the project before going to interview.and also prepare your own feedback questions. The questions what you ask them will also give some impression. I asked these questions,

(i) what about the training for the selected candidates?
(ii) How this company will help the emplyoes to improve their technical stuff?
(iii)In which areas I have to improve yet?

thats it....

Results were anounced , the next day.I am very happy to say that I got placed in CAPGEMINI.

ALL THE BEST

for GD they had asked to select ur own topic and give 5 min for that show ur participation there also that will help u to fatch some more marks

plz don’t select any easy topic like [^] “dowry system”, “dress codes in collg” etc.

because this gonna select only 1or 2 candidate from ur group so try to take some good topic so that max can get cleared the GD

Mine topic was: “should sex education b given from primary level or not”

For interview they will just look for ur confidents.

Questioned asked were simple

Like : introduce yourself dat it is not given in ur resume,

Which all campus did u seated for etc…

These were very easy

I couldn’t seated for CTS bcoz of my present backlogs

In tcs : out in tech interview

Accenture: again couldn’t seated

I was frustrated

But finally I got a chance to seat in capgemini and luckily I was one of the 13 selected candidate.

All the best meet u in capgemini

Hi Friends,
I would like to share my good experience while selection process............
Are you trying for a good job....so please remember the first thing is be confident enough to face anything.........it's really not tough to get a job but it truly depends on your confidence level and believe or not it depends on your luck toooooo...........
I faced many interviews, but the best and easiest interview i faced was CAPGEMINI interview............"the happiest day for me."

The selection process has three levels

1) written test...........on-campus selection includes aptitude test also where as off-campus directly technical written test..........its bit tough one but we need to have basic knowledge on each and every topics.i mean to say that if are attending for JAVA written test we need to know at least basics like core java,JDBC,EJB,........ah don't be tensed simple only best thing you can do is refer once the interview book for java....you gain at least basic knowledge on each topic.......if u r SCJP certified it helps you a lot....

2)GD.........if you are confident its enough .......if you speak relevantly at least for two to three time that's enough........the thing you need is confidence......

3) Technical + Hr interview..........here for fresher its very simple the basic programing skills, core java a bit in depth and only two to three questions in advance java..............

Friends all the best to one and all.........plz be cool when you are attending any interview and believe in yourself.nothing is impossible so keep trying don't lose your hope .......always believe that you are the best..........thank you.

Thanks and regards,
Gayathri

Q7. (a) Which letter is represented by the number “3”

Ans : Solution:-

3 6 5 1

(+) D E A N

-----------------------------------

S L I D E

It is given in the question that each of 7 digits 1,2,3,4,5, 6 & 9 is represented by a. Different letter in the above problem it is clear that 3+D+carry [If any] is equal to SL. But as it is clear that highest sum of there given no. can be (9+6+1)=16 so S = 1

Now it is also clear that D is either 6 or 9 but D cannot be 6, because in that case L, is equal to 0, which is not possible.
So D = 9

Now from that it is clear that L Letter is either 2 or 3 & A=4, It is also clear that E cannot be equal to 5,4,3,2,1

So E=6

Now we can help of above conclusions.

Ans. to question no.

(a) = L
